Your Responsibility

As a Technical Support Agent within the Onboarding & Support team, you will be part of the broader Customer Team. Your primary focus will be to guide customers through a seamless onboarding process, foster a long-term relationship built on trust, and provide ongoing support that ensures their success with our products. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

Onboarding: Guide customers through every stage of onboarding, from installation to full operational readiness. You’ll ensure that they are set up for success and understand how to get the most from our energy management solutions.
Training: Conduct personalised training sessions and workshops—both online and on-site—to ensure that customers are confident in using our products. Tailor these sessions to meet the diverse needs of different users.
Integration: Ensure that all system components (e.g., PV systems, charging stations, heat pumps, battery systems) are optimally integrated into the customer’s energy management setup, ensuring seamless operation.
Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, developing strong, trust-based relationships. Your role is to act as the voice of the customer within Nexxtlab, ensuring their feedback is heard and their concerns are addressed.
Ongoing Support: Provide timely, high-quality support to address technical issues and inquiries, ensuring continuous customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of all interactions, processes, and solutions to enhance internal transparency and communication.
Knowledge Management: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a customer-facing knowledge base, offering self-service resources that help customers resolve common issues and use our products more effectively

Your Profile

You are passionate about helping customers succeed, with a knack for solving problems and making technical topics easy to understand. Ideal candidates will have:

Professional experience in Customer Success, Onboarding, or Technical Support, ideally in the energy management or renewable energy sector
Strong proficiency in French and English; German and Dutch are a plus
A technical understanding of energy management and control of assets such as photovoltaic systems, charging stations, heat pumps, and battery systems
Proven experience in training and communicating with diverse customer groups
A customer-first mindset, with a passion for fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customers get maximum value from our products
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and tailor your approach to different audiences
Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create user-friendly knowledge base content that supports customer self-service

Discover the latest updates across our platforms, bringing new features and improvements that enhance transparency, usability, and compliance.

Quarter-hour dynamic tariff

To remain compliant with the evolving SDAC market rules, dynamic tariffs in both the Home app and the Web Portal have been updated to the new 15-minute granularity, effective from 01/10/2025.

Savings Overview & History

The ‘Cost’ page in the Home app has been upgraded to put your cost optimization front and center. You can now easily see how much you’ve saved on energy costs, thanks to the battery usage, PV self-consumption, and PV curtailment that prevents exporting energy at negative prices.

Alerts in Web Portal

Installers and distributor roles now have a centralized view of all alerts linked to SmartMaster devices directly in the Web Portal dashboard. Alerts can be filtered by time, status, type, or via a custom search. Selecting an alert will redirect you to the associated device, making it faster and easier to take action.

Integrations

We continue to expand our compatibility with a variety of products, including Goodwe, Enovates chargers, Huawei chargers, Sigenergy, Sungrow, AlphaESS, SMA, and more. This update improves integration, giving you greater flexibility.

Environment API

The latest version of our Environment API is now available as a Swagger file. Access it here.

This update continues our commitment to improving usability and control. We hope you enjoy exploring the new features, with more updates on the way.
This release covers Web Portal version 2.14.1-hot8 and Home App version 1.4.0.

Role Overview

Enhanced Services to Optimize Your Energy Use

Capacity Alert
We’ve activated the Injection Limit feature to better steer curtailment when needed using negative quarter-hour kWp values. The system also uses positive quarter-hour kWp limits to maintain safe operating thresholds.

Charger Control: Four New Charging Modes

Solar Mode: Charge only with solar panel electricity, maximizing self-consumption and cutting down imported energy and CO2 emissions.
Green Mode: The EMS optimizes your charging session’s green energy share, balancing charging speed with environmental impact.
Tariff Mode: When electricity tariffs are favorable, this mode increases charging power while staying within your contracted capacity.
Full Power Mode: Need to charge quickly? This mode delivers maximum power from your charger instantly.

Installer Commands (Smartmaster Pro only):
New commands allow installers to reboot chargers, refresh status, clear cache, and unlock charging cables remotely.

New Distributor Role and Access

We introduced a dedicated distributor role to provide tailored access to key parts of the platform such as Dashboard, Environment, Smartmaster, Access, Transactions, and Datasource management. Distributors will receive their account details soon.

Topology: The Future of Visual Energy Management

This update introduces exciting new topology features that make managing your energy assets easier and more intuitive: compact and rotated views, zoom and drag navigation, multiple selection, right-click asset management, and the much-anticipated Single Line view. You’ll also notice color-coded indicators and the solar priority feature, aligned with the Solar Mode in asset control.

Improved Settings and Network Visibility

A new restart button allows installers and distributors to reboot Smartmaster devices directly from the interface.
Modbus port detection now shows if port 502 is open on your network, simplifying troubleshooting.

Our newly launched Environment API lets environment owners control devices, manage services, and access historical data programmatically—without using the Nexxtlab app. This opens the door to building your own applications, integrating with flexibility providers, or pulling data for custom analytics.
